As 2015 comes to a close, we are thrilled to share with you one of our most anticipated posts of the year! We went through over 15,000 images to pull some of our favorites to share with you. 2015 brought with it some of our favorite weddings so far. We shot 29 weddings in 4 states across the country, as well as got married ourselves!
I have broken down our favorites into several categories to help keep track of the massive amounts of images we have here. We wish you a very Happy New and may 2016 be your best year yet!
While our bridal portraits are the most remembered images in our wedding sets, the details are what tie the day together to tell the perfect story! These can be sometimes the most difficult part of a wedding day to shoot because we want to make sure even in the glimpse of the shoes we tell the story of your wedding day. Here are some images I feel do that well!
The first time we meet the bride + bridal party on the wedding day is typically during the section of the day we call the “getting ready” portion! It’s the time that we get to settle in and chat with the bridal party, parents, and sometimes even a puppy or two! This is where the bride puts her dress on, our grooms make the final adjustments on his tie, and the day begins!
It’s finally here! This is the big moment that you have been waiting for your whole life. The doors open, your groom is waiting at the end of the aisle holding back a huge smile, and you are surrounded by all of your friends and family. The ceremony is one of my favorite moments to take a small pause and really look around to appreciate how much love and support fills each room. We feel incredibly blessed to witness such an important time in all of our couples lives.
The hard part is over, now it’s time to party! You can often find us lurking between tables, making secret eye contact and hand signals to each other from across the room, or throwing down in the middle of a dance circle! The true personality of our couples shine when the dance floor opens up. We have some great memories partying it up with our brides + grooms, and I hope you enjoy the party!
And finally, I saved the best for last. This is the very moment that the groom sees his future wife for the first time prior to the ceremony. We love the chance to photograph the “First Look”, because it allows the couple to have such a private moment together for the first time, no pressure at all. There are no eyes on them, no expectations to cry or show a certain emotion, and no distractions. Just them in the moment.
